I wanted the whole up thing to really shine through in the balloons. Josh asked if we had enough to lift the house. Sadly no. And Eli had never been around balloons before so it was either gonna be reeeeally bad or reeeeally good. Thankfully they were a huge hit!
My Aunt Denise is a cake decorater (she will be doing our wedding cupcakes) and knew my cake work would be under a pro's eye but who cares! I had a blast making it. I made buttercream frosting. And a family recipe for:
Chocolate Mayonaise Cake
1 C sugar
1 C mayonaise
1 t vanilla
1 C cold water
2 C flour
2 t baking soda
5 T cocoa
mix, bake in a 9" square pan at 325* for 45 minutes.
Had to try the #2 idea found on Pinterest since I printed 525 photos for Eli's book (some sneak peaks about that coming soon) it made it easy to just stick em' on the wall. I used Tombow adhesive but let it dry before hand so it made a 'post it note' like glue.
